Hidden Agenda
Straight edge hardcore veterans Throwdown jump to the limelight with their fourth album VENDETTA. This album is nothing short of ruthless brutal hardcore, plane and simple. This is nothing new for throwdown as they are definitely on the move to make it to hatebreed caliber sized audiences. Their following is already grown to that status.
VENDETTA is nothing new for this band with rhythmic guitars, deaf-defying screams that will have windmill kicks and fist flying in the pit. One of the biggest pushed songs that can be heard is 'Burn' which has a chorus that will be stuck in your head for hours, the balance of anger and melody is something that most bands of this caliber can pull off. This album is filled with some really intense guitar work and some backing bass that really brings out a dark side of music that just punches you in the face, for example, 'To Live Is To Sacrifice' and 'Give My Life' are two songs you know will be incredible to see played live. Perhaps the climax of this album are the songs 'Annihilation' and 'This Is Where It Ends.' 'Annihilation' is a song really expresses the darkest side of the album with a slow tempo and almost a morose feel with guitar work and ends up dropping back to the typical aggressive style. It moves into 'This Is Where It Ends.' This song is just hardcore at in its quintessential form, with angry energy that ends the album with the message that they are on the music scene to stay.
Overall this album is showing that this band is aggressive, energetic and ready to make sure that everyone knows it. VENDETTA should be expected to be a huge hit for the hardcore style of music and life.
