CLAUDIO SANCHEZ RELEASES ZOMBIE-INSPIRED COMIC BOOK:
'KEY OF Z'
COHEED AND CAMBRIA SONG "DERANGED" FEATURED IN BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY SOUNDTRACK & COLLECTOR'S EDITION GAME

OCT 19 – Claudio Sanchez, front man for Equal Vision Records alumni Coheed and Cambria and creator/writer of THE AMORY WARS and KILL AUDIO comics, is proud to announce the release of the debut issue for his latest comic book, KEY OF Z.
Writers Sanchez and Chondra Echert (KILL AUDIO) bring a deadly new vision of New York City in KEY OF Z, with cover art by Nathan Fox (FLORESCENT BLACK), a special incentive cover by Tony Moore (THE WALKING DEAD), and the stunning artwork of Aaron Kuder (THE AMORY WARS).
The zombie apocalypse has transformed the city into two separate battle-hardened fiefdoms. Nick Ewing is left to survive while seeking revenge on those responsible for the death of his family – the warring gangs residing in The Big Apple’s most illustrious athletic houses. Ewing stumbles upon a sentimental artifact from his past that imbues him with surprising power. Find out what happens when he discovers the KEY OF Z.

Coheed and Cambria’s new song “Deranged” was released this week as part of the Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham City and is also featured on the video game’s soundtrack.
Sanchez was a panelist at New York Comic Con’s Batman: Arkham City panel with Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman) and developers of the game, Rocksteady Studios' Sefton Hill and Nick Arundel. Evil Ink Comics also had a booth at the renowned event, where Sanchez signed copies of KEY OF Z featuring a NYCC-exclusive cover, designed by Declan Shalvey (28 DAYS LATER, THUNDERBOLTS).
KEY OF Z #1 is now available in comic shops across the country and digitally through the Comics by comiXology platform — iOS, Android and the Web, making Sanchez’s comic book accessible to fans around the world. It is published by BOOM! Studios in association with Sanchez's comic company, Evil Ink. Sanchez will continue on a mini-signing tour, with upcoming stops in Rhode Island, Florida, and California.
